Sasha Solano Tacuche nació el 28 de junio de 1969 en el distrito de Comas, Lima, Perú. Fue la tercera de cinco hijos y creció junto a su madre, su padre y sus cuatro hermanos. Desde pequeña expresó comportamientos y preferencias vinculados con su identidad, aunque en ese momento no contaba con herramientas ni espacios que le permitieran comprender o nombrar esas experiencias. Cursó sus estudios primarios en Lima, donde se destacó por su dedicación y compromiso escolar.

Durante su infancia y adolescencia atravesó dificultades económicas que se profundizaron tras la separación de sus padres. Desde muy joven comenzó a trabajar en la vía pública, vendiendo caramelos y otros productos para colaborar con el sostenimiento de su familia. A los 13 años interrumpió temporalmente sus estudios a raíz de una situación vivida en el ámbito escolar. Posteriormente retomó la secundaria en otra institución y logró completarla, aunque quedaron algunas materias pendientes.

Durante la adolescencia comenzó a relacionarse con otras personas travestis y trans de su comunidad, entre ellas Lulú y Percy, con quienes construyó vínculos de amistad que acompañaron gran parte de su juventud. A los 15 años fue testigo de las condiciones de exclusión social y las dificultades que atravesaban muchas compañeras trans en Lima. Estas experiencias fortalecieron su participación en redes de acompañamiento, solidaridad y cuidado entre travestis y mujeres trans. Paralelamente, continuó trabajando en distintas actividades vinculadas al comercio ambulante.

A los 17 años conoció a Ricardo, a quien reconoce como su primer gran amor. La relación se extendió durante varios años y constituyó una experiencia significativa en su trayectoria afectiva. Su posterior fallecimiento puso fin a esa etapa de su vida.

En 1995, a los 28 años, decidió migrar a la Argentina. Llegó a la ciudad de Buenos Aires el 22 de marzo de ese año, después de varios días de viaje desde Perú. Sus primeros años estuvieron atravesados por la búsqueda de trabajo, la construcción de nuevos vínculos y la adaptación a un contexto en el que continuó enfrentando distintas formas de discriminación. Con el tiempo se incorporó a espacios de militancia y activismo vinculados con los derechos de las personas trans y travestis.

Actualmente reside en Merlo, provincia de Buenos Aires. Desde hace varios años trabaja en la Cámara de Diputados de la Nación, en el área de Géneros y Diversidad, y se desempeña como delegada sindical de ATE Congreso. También participa en Red Diversa Positiva y en iniciativas comunitarias y sociales de su barrio. Sasha se reconoce como activista, militante, migrante, originaria, sindicalista y trava, y sostiene la preservación de la memoria colectiva como una tarea fundamental para las generaciones futuras.

Sasha Solano Tacuche was born on June 28, 1969, in the district of Comas, Lima, Peru. She was the third of five children and grew up with her mother, father, and four siblings. From an early age, she expressed behaviors and preferences related to her gender identity, although at the time she had no access to the tools or spaces that might have allowed her to understand or name these experiences. She attended primary school in Lima, where she distinguished herself as a dedicated and committed student.

During her childhood and adolescence, Sasha experienced economic hardship, which became more pronounced after her parents separated. From a young age, she began working in the streets, selling candy and other goods to help support her family. At the age of 13, she temporarily interrupted her education following an experience at school that affected her deeply. She later resumed her secondary education at another school and managed to complete it, although she still had some subjects pending.

During adolescence, Sasha began forming relationships with other travestis and trans people in her community, including Lulú and Percy, friendships that remained important throughout much of her youth. At the age of 15, she witnessed the social exclusion and difficulties faced by many trans women in Lima. These experiences strengthened her involvement in networks of mutual support, solidarity, and care among travestis and trans women. At the same time, she continued working in various forms of street commerce.

At 17, she met Ricardo, whom she considers her first great love. Their relationship lasted for several years and became a significant part of her emotional life. His subsequent death brought that chapter of her life to an end.

In 1995, at the age of 28, Sasha decided to migrate to Argentina. She arrived in the city of Buenos Aires on March 22 of that year, after several days of travel from Peru. Her first years in Argentina were shaped by the search for employment, the creation of new relationships, and the process of adapting to a new environment in which she continued to experience different forms of discrimination. Over time, she became involved in activism and organizing focused on the rights of trans and travesti people.

Sasha currently lives in Merlo, Buenos Aires Province. For several years, she has worked at the National Chamber of Deputies, in the Gender and Diversity Office, and serves as a union delegate for ATE Congreso. She also participates in Red Diversa Positiva and in community and social initiatives in her neighborhood. Sasha identifies herself as an activist, organizer, migrant, Indigenous person, unionist, and trava, and considers the preservation of collective memory an essential task for future generations.
